Senior Recreation

Senior Recreation and Entertainment All Around You.

Webster Art&Air Fair

Entertainment and recreation provide   a very important break from the responsibilities and routines of work. We live in a time when the options for entertainment go far beyond radio and television. We have concerts, performances, sports, movies, exhibits, people watching and countless other choices for being entertained.

An urbanSeniorLiving campus is overflowing with diverse sources of entertainment and self enrichment. There are people coming and going throughout the day. Young people, moms and dads, school children, college students, shoppers, cyclists, musicians, businessmen and women, seniors, friends, and shop owners. They come in all ages and sizes with their own unique personalities and appearances.

Entertainment is one of the great urbanSeniorLiving attractions. A typical urbanSenior campus, like Pacific Place, has within it the St. Louis Repertory Theatre, Insight Theatre, Opera Theater of St. Louis and the Webster Groves Theatre Guild. Performances at Nerinx Hall, Webster High School, and Webster University. The Webster Groves Farmers Market offers street dancers, and weekly musical groups while residents shop for fresh local produce and products.

The Old Orchard Business District, sponsors concerts at Gazebo Park which feature well known groups followed by evening family movies in the park. The St. Louis Symphony Brass Quintet performs a Fall concert at the conclusion of the Farmers Market Wine/Beer Festival. Professional and amateur cycle races along with marathon runners for charity, pass through the district as residents and visitors look on.

The Old Orchard Gallery, Grafica Gallery and the May Gallery and Hunt Gallery at Webster University feature Local and Regional art exhibits throughout the year. Artists gather in Old Orchard and throughout Webster Groves for the Paint Webster event which offers prizes to all age groups for outstanding depictions of Webster Groves. In June the Art&Air event attracts 140 artists from around the country and approximately 30,000 visitors to enjoy art, music and food for three days.

All this entertainment is within a very short walk from the front door…..that is what makes urbanSeniorLiving feel so special. It is what keeps an urbanSenior resident so healthy, active and involved.
